The Begining
Fredrick Herbet Lord at No. 15, Ballie Street, Colombo 1 starts the company as “Business Machines Company Limited”
1980
The Begining
- Business Machines becomes one of the pioneering companies to introduce type-writers to the Sri Lankan market and other analog office equipment.
- Constructs a workshop & stores at Kotahena, Colombo 13
1989

Time recorders introduced to the product range.

Introduces Fax machines to the product range.

Distributes postal franking machines to all Department of Posts outlets in Sri Lanka.
New Residence
Business Machines takes up residence at our own building at No. 1, Lake Crescent Colombo 02.

- Adapts to technological advancements in the industry and introduces swipe card time & attendance readers to the range of products.
- Expands into the banking & finance sector supplying passbook printers, currency counters and sorters to leading banks & financial institutions in the island.

Develops the EasyTime Office Management software specially addressing the Sri Lankan labour regulations.

Further evolution brings about the introduction of biometric time & attendance terminals, guard monitoring solutions and digital postal franking machines to the range.

The World’s Toughest Shredders(™) ‘Fellowes’ is introduced to the market.

Expands into the market of Video Conferencing & Smart Classrooms with the emergence of and POS software combined with our hardware solutions
the pandemic by being named the authorized sales and service agent for Sri Lanka & Maldives for AVer Information – Taiwan; video conferencing and education solutions.
